I would like to thank those sponsors that made it possible for me to compete in the Kings Ransom 300 at Memphis. Without their support, I would not be able to do what I have this year. They are Clarksville Schwinn, GlobalTech, Riteway Industries, Dawn Durbin, DDS and Newlons. The guys that were able to go and help me were Larry Meadors, Eric Beyl, Lee Riddle, John Bell, Andy Pennington and my dad.
Tough weekend at Memphis, after qualifying 14th, raced up to 11th after the first 100 laps, but noticed a slight miss in the motor. Changed 4 tires during the first break, noticed a couple of plug wire boots cracked. We repaired the boots, and thought that would take care of the problem only to have the engine miss return and become worse after the half way point of the race. Really struggled throughout the rest of the second 100 segment. After the start of the final 100 lap leg of the race, the engine shut off at 207 laps, regulating to a 22nd place finish.
Race just over, Will completed 210 of the 300 laps due to motor problems. Thanks for everyone's support! We will have some pictures and video posted in the next few days.
11/15 - Early practice went well, qualified 14th, then there was a brief rain shower. They have dried the track and the race is getting ready to start. Eric, Larry, Lee, John and everyone one else - thanks for your hard work.Updates are being posted on MySpace, Facebook and Twitter...along with pictures from the track. See link on home page of website. ---11/14--- Practice went good, crew made some gear changes and the car got better as Will got more comfortable with the track. Thanks to the crew and sponsors, without their help this would not be possible. Scott - we wish you were down here with us in Memphis, but we have are keeping your Mom and family in our thoughts and prayers...we wish here a speedy recovery.
