It was a good day at Kentucky Speedway for Will and Will Kimmel Racing. NASCAR Camping World Truck practice was from 4pm-7pm. Will made a few different runs in practice, making a few changes to the truck throughout the practice session. The team did a great job today and we appreciate everyone's help. The #44 Lucas Ford is ready for qualifications tomorrow at 4pm, LIVE on SPEED TV (insight channel 551).

Quote from Will about today: "Truck was pretty tight right off dad and the guys made some good changes and we picked up everytime we went out and ended up 25th in the first practice, we changed some spring and went out and did a mock run and went a 32 flat an the truck was a bit loose dead in the middle, came in worked on it and went a 31.69 puttin us 16th, we'll see what happens tomorrow."

How is preparation going for next week's ARCA race at the Springfield dirt mile?

We had the car on the scales Wednesday and it looked very good. It’s pretty much done and ready! We are really excited to have Messina Wildlife Management and Menards coming on board to support our effort this week. I have a lot of confidence in my guys. I know they will bust their butts – and I think we can make the right calls on adjustments. I don’t want to be overconfident, but I’m really looking forward to this race. I’d really love to be in the top 5 with 10 to go and able to be competitive with them!

What about the Camping World truck?

The truck is really coming along good. We got the seat mounted this week and the engine is plumbed. It was really surprising to get in and feel how large the truck is in comparison to the cars. It is really a nice truck!
