Messina Wildlife Returns to Sponsor Will

The third-generation racer is also getting some help with his ARCA program. Longtime Kimmel Racing supporter and sponsor Messina Wildlife Management will be returning to Kimmel Racing's ARCA program in 2014.
"Will Kimmel is the total package," said James Messina, Vice President of Messinas.
"What we do for them is pretty miniscule, but whatever we can do, we do. Will does a great job of representing our company, and we're honored to be working with him and his father. Will is not only extremely qualified to be behind the wheel, he's also got something that the rest just don't have. Companies like ours are looking for people like him. They're hard to find - ones that have the genuine qualities that are so valuable. Will's got those qualities top to bottom.
"I told him last year that he was going to be in the top-10 in points, and that we were looking forward to seeing him up there on stage at the banquet, and he ended up eighth. And of course, we know he's capable of so much more. He's championship material, on and off the track, and we'd like to help contribute as much as we're able to."
The Messinas logo will occupy the hood on Kimmel's Ford for the 10 announced TV races on FOX Sports 1 and 2.
"We really appreciate James Messina and their continued support," said Kimmel. "It's not often that a sponsor calls you, but he actually called me about sponsoring the ARCA car this year. We have a great relationship with Messinas, and we're grateful to have them back on the hood. It means a lot to Kimmel Racing."

Kimmel Signs with Circle Track
Kimmel will be
featured in both promotional videos and technical articles as well as acting as
a spokesman for the 30 year old publication. The signing is a break from
traditional magazine marketing programs but is part of a much larger program.
“We have designed an
aggressive promotional program for 2013 that is geared toward building Circle
Track’s reach far beyond the 200,000+ loyal racers we have following us both in
print and online,” explained Publisher Rob Fisher. “In order to accomplish our
goals one of the key elements we needed was a young up and coming but well
known racer that still maintains a strong connection with their roots. Will
Kimmel is that racer.”
Fisher says that
Kimmel bridges that gap between the national touring series racer and the
grassroots guy who runs his local track week in and week out. “One of the
things that we liked about Will was the fact that when he is not mixing it up
at Daytona or Talladega, you can usually find him running his street stock at
one of the local tracks in and around his Indiana home. And those are our
people, our readers, our customers…the Saturday night racer.”
For Kimmel the deal
represents the type of exposure most up and coming racers can only dream about.
“I’m so excited to be working with Circle Track. Everyone in our family has
been reading the magazine for years, so we all know how big and how influential
they are.” said Kimmel. “They cater to real racers with real hardcore technical
articles that teach something every time you open an issue. I’m proud to now be
a part of their team.”
Kimmel also thinks
that the deal will help his team land a major sponsor. “We’ve been working hard
to bring sponsorship to this team and having the largest media outlet in racing
as a partner brings a dimension to Will Kimmel Racing that no other team has.”
Circle Track is in
the process of shooting the first video this weekend and it will debut shortly

Unfortunate Circumstances Hinder Kimmel Racing’s Effort at Daytona

Daytona Beach, FL (February 16, 2013) Discouraging is the
key word for the conclusion of the Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona presented by MAVTV
American Real, for Kimmel Racing. “It’s just upsetting when you go into an
event as a low budget team, and perform
equal, if not better as the teams with more resource’s and end the race tore up
in the garage,” says Will Kimmel. Will
is the driver of the #68 Ford Fusion for Kimmel Racing. He started the race in
the 20th spot and quickly found his way into the top 15 within a couple
laps. Wills ability to put himself in
the right position allowed him to put the Gary Yeomans Ford into the top 5 when
the uncontrollable happened. As he entered turn 3, his left rear Hoosier tire
exploded, ripping out the left rear window and C-post, sending debris into the
cockpit. “I thought the driveshaft was
coming at me, with all that was flying around in the car,” declares Will. “It was just an unfortunate situation that I
had no control over. “
Will Kimmel’s bad luck was not the only low for Kimmel
Racing. The other Ford Fusion driven by Steve Kemp was involved in a wreck that
he too, had no control over. “I came down pit road to avoid the wreck that was
occurring, as I was exiting, a car came down across the track and collected
me,” says Kemp. Steve was settling in,
drafting mid-pack, when the caution came out.
Although, Kimmel Racing produced two strong cars that were
exceptional in the draft, they wound up finishing 33rd and 37th.
“There’s nothing you can do when things like this happen, we’ll just pack up
and head home and work on the next race,” says Crew Chief and Owner Bill
Kimmel.
Kimmel Racing will enter the next ARCA series race at Mobile
International Speedway on March 9th.

All the guys and volunteer help have been working very hard for this upcoming week. The car is painted and decals are going on as pictures are here to show the progress. Excitement seems to be getting more intense as Daytona gets closer!
Will had a great time at the PRI show the first week of December, great to see some familiar faces and meet a few new people.
Will is attending the ARCA Banquet in Covington, Ky on December 10th.
Will is scheduled to test in Daytona on December 16-18th, with coverage available at www.arcaracing.com.

Practice did not go as well as it could have, but Will qualified 21st just 6 spots behind Uncle Frank who makes his 400th ARCA start in the Prairie Meadows 200 at Iowa Speedway.
